Event Spaces
The Tranquil Garden offers GATHERING space ideal for networking, general meetings, workshops, events and retreat weekends for 2 to 80 people at affordable rates in a beautiful facility conveniently located in Durham Region, part of the Greater Toronto area. We have free parking for over 20 cars on site, excellent catered meals and a variety of service, event and workshop providers to meet your individual or group needs.

Meeting and Event Room Rentals
Our rental spaces include:
MEDIA CENTRE:
This 320 sq ft room is on the main floor with access from the kitchen/reception area or from the french doors off the outdoor living room. There is space for 32 folding chairs theatre style, or can be set up with folding tables and chairs to accommodate up to 32 people. We have a 42″ flat screen with media capabilities, DVD and internet access. The room is rented out in 1.5 hour increments $50, by the half day $90 or full day for $175.
DINING ROOM:
This 320 sq ft room is on the main floor with access from the reception area and has 2 separate french doors to the multi-tiered deck. It has four 8 person tables that can be set apart for restaurant style seating up to 32 or pushed together as a board room table seating a maximum of 16 – 20. This room is rented out as a meeting room in increments of 1.5 hours for $50, for half day $90 and $175 for a full day.
MAIN FLOOR OFFICE:
This meeting space is located on the main floor in a wood panelled office with a beautiful bay window. It offers a meeting table seating 2 to 8 people. There is a 26″ flat screen complete with media cables. This room is rented out for $6 per half hour
MEDITATION ROOM:
This space is located on the main floor behind glass of the front foyer. It is perfect for small groups of 2 – 10 people. It is ideal for general meetings, circle groups, meditation and small classes. It is a must see and feel. It is rented out for $6 per half hour. For our members this is a complimentary space for quiet reflection and meditation.
KITCHEN:
Our Kitchen is the heart of our “home”. It is used as a common area for our team and members. It is rented out for event use at $25 flat rate plus $6 per half hour. It is equipped with residential appliances and some basic utensils and pantry supplies. For our members and team it is a common use space.
TEA ROOM:
This beautiful room living room style space is on the main floor with access from the reception area with a beautiful bay window overlooking the front of the property. It is called the Tea Room in memory of Gloria Greig (Traci’s great aunt) who donated her china cups and saucers in hopes that one day we would This room is used as both a waiting area and casual conversation for small groups. We provide complimentary tea for service clients and our members.
LIBRARY:
This amazing space is for the enjoyment of our members and overnight guests. We have over 300 pieces of literature focused on health, wellness, spirituality and personal development. All of our books have been donated by family, friends, practitioners and members.
GIRLFRIEND ROOM:
This high energy space is located on the upper level at the back of the house overlooking a depth of 320 ft of ravine. It is ideal for meetings of up to 10 people in a comfortable setting. It features 3 day beds and an en-suite – making it perfect for sleeping 3 overnight guests. It is rented out in 1.5 hour increments for a flat rate of $25 per time slot, for $60 for the half day or $100 for the full day.
THE UPPER TREATMENT ROOM:
This multi purpose space is located on the upper level and is used as a treatment room during the week. On the weekends it doubles as overnight accommodation a double bed ideal for sleeping two. This room boasts an en-suite as well. It rents for $65 per night per person.
STUDIO:
The 400 square foot studio is located our the lower level in the Wellness Centre and features laminate flooring and a full wall of mirrors. It is ideal for body/mind classes. It is rented out in 1.5 hour increments for a flat rate of $25 per time slot. Rental for events and workshops is also available as the space has 18 folding chairs and is rented out for $60 for the half day and $100 for the full day.
OVER NIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS: We can accommodate a maximum 7 people over night in shared accommodations – 1 of the rooms is set up “girlfriend style” featuring 3 twin daybeds. The second room has a double bed and the third room features a queen size bed. Each of our overnight rooms have a full bathrooms. A very reasonable nightly cost of $65 per person makes our facility an ideal weekend or corporate retreat centre. For additional guests there are several lovely B&B’s close by. Ask us for details.
PRACTITIONER RENTAL SPACE:
We currently have 2 shared and 1 full time treatment room available for rent out to Practitioners offering body, mind, spirit services. This space is ideal for someone like a chiropractor, an energy worker, hypnotherapist, etc. Unfortunately we are not accepting applications for RMT’s or Aesthetics.

7×9 shared treatment space - $180, plus HST per month to own one day of the week: this room is furnished with a massage table; available days are Saturday and Sunday
7×9 space with a large window and storage – $950, plus HST per month as private space or $180, plus HST per month as shared space to own one day of the week: all days will be available February 29th, 2012
The Upper Treatment Room (14×18 L-shaped room, shared & furnished space with desk, meeting table with 4 chairs, massage table, full en-suite, 2 large windows) – $275, plus HST per month to own one day of the week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday are available
